My first large wedding is in the books!! I’ve done some smaller weddings in the past, but I was soooo nervous going into this day, because I wanted to capture the perfect pictures for this couple! I got the chance to meet the soon to be bride and groom a few weeks before their big day… and as we walked through their venue – I knew that a.) it was going to be a beautiful wedding, and b.) these were two people who were adventurous, hard-working, and full of life and love!
Their wedding day was an absolute dream! The weather was gorgeous. The bride was stunning. The bond between the bride and her bridesmaids was what all friendships should be made of. The groom and groomsmen were so much fun to work with. And their families were some of the nicest and most genuine people I’ve met.
The bride had crafted some amazing personal touches and details that made this wedding unique – from the “adventure” theme with guests sitting at tables portraying places the bride and groom had travelled together… to homemade peanut brittle for each guest… to the gorgeous wedding cake made by the bride’s mom!!
By the end of the day, my feet were sore (and I totally understood why a second shooter would be a huge help!)… but my heart was full of love for these two. Matt and Laura – thank you for trusting me to capture your day… congratulations… and I wish nothing but the best for you two in your adventures in life!!
